Iowa Code Chapter 29C (Emergency Management and Security)

Basis for Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) and county emergency management. § 29C.8(3)(f): members of approved homeland security and emergency response teams registered with HSEM are treated as state employees for liability, and the state pays disability, workers' compensation and death benefits. Each team must set membership standards and give HSEM a member list.
